## Question

Who owns the code, infrastructure, and accounts?

## Answer

You do.

You're paying me to build things, but they are your things. I'm here to help you, to set things up, and to maintain them for a while, but it's your company.

## Why You Need Ownership

If I own the infrastructure and the code, that creates risk for you. It may feel convenient in the short term, but it is not healthy for the business.

So yes, everything we subscribe to should be yours — every account, every repo, all infrastructure. I'll set them up, help organize them, and make sure you understand what lives where, but they should live under your control.

## Planning for Growth

My job is to get you to a point where a team can take it further, and that means you need ownership from day one. If we ever stop working together, you should be able to keep moving without a messy handoff.
