## Question

The third option between agencies and offshore teams

## Answer

A lot of founders feel stuck with two choices.

Option one is an agency: expensive, polished, and often padded with more process than you need. Option two is an offshore team: cheaper on paper, but usually with more management overhead, more communication drag, and more uncertainty about who is really making the decisions.

I think there is a third option.

## What Most Founders Actually Want

Most people don't want an agency, and they don't want a team they have to babysit either. They want senior judgment, direct communication, fast execution, predictable scope, and someone accountable.

That's not really an agency brief. It's a senior-builder brief.

## What The Third Option Looks Like

The middle ground is a small studio model with direct senior involvement. No junior handoff, no giant project machine, no mystery layers between the conversation and the code. That's what I'm trying to build Wonderful around.

Sometimes a project needs extra depth. Fine, bring in a specialist. But keep the accountability clear and the chain of thought short.

## Why It Matters

Early product work is mostly decision-making under uncertainty. The more layers you add, the slower and blurrier those decisions get. The right setup is the one that keeps quality high without surrounding the work with overhead.

That's the gap I care about: senior output, direct contact, less waste.
