## Question

Is an AI-generated MVP good enough, or does it still need an experienced developer?

## Answer

AI can absolutely help build your app. I use it every day, and I'm not sitting here pretending the old way was morally superior because I enjoyed typing boilerplate like a monk copying scripture.

The useful question isn't whether AI can build something. It can. The useful question is whether you can trust what it built.

## That's The Hard Part

If you're not a developer, AI puts you in a strange position. You ask one AI to build the app, then you ask another AI if the first AI did a good job. That's like asking the used car salesman if the used car salesman is honest. Maybe they are, but what are you actually verifying?

Software has a nasty habit of looking fine until a real user does the one thing nobody thought they would do. Some idiot is going to do that thing. Sometimes that idiot is me.

## AI Needs A Driver

An experienced developer can use AI as leverage because they know what to look for. They know when the data model is wrong, when the app is painting itself into a corner, and when a quick fix is harmless vs when it's the first brick in a wall you'll hit later. That's the value.

AI can be the hands. Someone still needs to be the brain.
